Party Pieces - Book 1

Fluteworthy Party Pieces is a collection of 17 pieces with piano accompaniment for approximately grades 5-8.  We have chosen works for their wow factor. They are fun to play and they show off virtuosity, perfect for opening a program or as encores. Styles range from baroque to modern with some folk and jazz influenced pieces. Composers include some familiar voices of Bach, Quantz, Mozart and Rossini; historical female composers Anna Bonn and Fanny Mendelssohn; flute favourites Kohler and Nicholson; and new works by our very own Christine Draeger and First Nations composer Brenda Gifford.
